Fred looked from Adrien to Sadra in a vain attempt to put the pieces together. He wasn't sure whether he should be threatening Adrien or... or just trying to get Sadra to go inside. They seemed to just be talking so he couldn't tell if he was interrupting or helping. Merlin, why did this have to be so confusing? It wasn't enough that he hadn't slept all night, now he had to think as well?

"Look, I don't know what you're playing at and I really don't care," he said, raising his wand, "but right now there are more of us than there are you so I suggest you just leave." Just take the offer, he thought, It's more than any of your people ever give and more than you deserve.

Adrien stared at Sadra again with that same look in his eyes as he thought of Sadri as he gazed at her. He smiled a little, "I will mean it...everything I do...it will be for her," he stated, trying to get back to his feet as Fred's wand pointed at him once again. He struggled a little before he managed to plant his feet under himself. He looked at Fred, nodding slowly, "I'm going...I'm going," he said, stumbling back some more again before he focused on Sadra again, "I'll just be in contact later...with information," he stated. He turned carefully, slowly before he started off down the street in a jerky gait.

Sadra watched him go, still with that hardened, loathing look on her face, but the second he was gone from view, it was replaced by the look that had graced her face since last night, a look of immense pain and grief. She had been standing up straight, but not she sort of slumped, tears streaming down her face. It had taken so much out of her, just seeing him and not murdering him. So maybe she had used the Cruciatus curse on him, but she had stopped herself from doing it again.

She turned and looked at Fred, "I was going to do it..." she said, her voice broken and unsteady, and more than a little bit ashamed. "I even said the first word of the spell... but I couldn't do it... I wanted to... I just couldn't..." she stomped her foot angrily, "Sometimes I wish I wasn't a good person..." she whispered.

Fred sighed and wrapped his arms around her, kissing her head. "I don't think he will be hurting anyone else, Sadra. I know you want your revenge, but sometimes it's just better to let fate take the wheel." Fred hated himself for sounding so much like Trelawny but he wasn't exactly sure what else he should tell her. That she should've killed the murdering bastard? THAT was what she needed to hear.

"You don't have to deal with him when he comes back. I will," he offered. It wasn't bad enough that he killed her twin sister? Now he had to torment her as well? Sadra just couldn't catch a break.

She nodded and shrugged in his arms, "Yeah, I guess..." she said, resting her head on his shoulder, making a little wet spot from her tears. She sighed, her hands coming up to rest on his arms as she stared at the spot where Adrien had disappeared, her hands clenching the sleeves of his shirt.

"Thank you, Fred..." she whispered, "I'm not sure that I would be able to take it next time..." she closed her eyes, "Thank you for everything... I don't know what I would have done if it weren't for you..." she unclenched her hands, squeezing his arms gently in a half hug. "Tomorrow..." she said, her voice shaking, "Tomorrow is going to be hard... I don't know how I'm going to make it through the day..." she was telling him this now, so that when she fell to pieces tomorrow, or withdrew into her own mind, that he wouldn't worry as much. Not that she really needed to tell him this, she just had to, to let herself know that it was ok to break down and feel these things.

She wished that tomorrow would never come, as she did not want to see her sister go any farther away than she already had. She tried to tell herself that it wasn't Sadri, that Sadri had moved on and gone to a better place now, that that body was just a shell. She imagined Sadri having tea with their mother and the little sister they'd never gotten to meet, and Dumbledore, and Sirius, and all the loved ones they'd lost throughout the years. It gave her some small comfort, but not much.

Fred tightened his grip on her and shook his head. "You have nothing to thank me for, Sadra," he said, thinking about everything that had happened so far. He still felt as if he was doing nothing... still just sitting there waiting for someone to jump out of nowhere and say that this had all just been a joke. That everyone was alright and they could all stop being sad or scared. He would never wish this on his children... or nieces and nephews should he fail to have children.

He didn't feel like he was helping... he felt like a sitting duck... doing nothing. What Sadra thought he was doing - that was nothing. It was just what you did for... someone you loved, and he loved Sadra. He would do anything for her; he just wanted to know that she would be alright. To him, that was nothing; it was natural. If he didn't, he knew that he might lose her like she lost her father, and he wasn't about to lose her. No matter what it took, he was going to be there for Sadra. He'd made a promise... two, actually... and he didn't intend to break them.

"Just work on getting through tomorrow. I wish I didn't have to say it, but I don't see the days getting much easier." He pulled away a bit to look at her, his face etched with worry. "Are... are you going to make it through?" he asked. Even if she was a seer, he wasn't asking if she was going to die. He wasn't actually concerned with knowing whether or not she would live, because if she died, he would certainly already be dead.

"Still..." she said. She held on to him rather tightly until he pulled back to look at her. She sighed, nodding, then shaking her head, then simply shrugging. "I don't know. Ask me tomorrow night." she said, laughing bitterly at this, "I've been to funerals before... and for people that I care about... But the person I've shared virtually every breath with?" she sobbed lightly, more tears coating her face.

"I think I will make it..." she said after a few moments of silence, "But only because you'll be there to hold me together..." she said, looking down. "I know... I know that you want me to show my emotions... but I don't share them with everyone... I'm just warning you... because I'll probably be very silent tomorrow..."
